Charging Time decrease **SOLVED**
I Charge my miniplayer from the computer's usb ports and it fully charges my player in way less than 1 hour. Am i the only one with this problem, if its a problem? What should I do?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCharging faster doesn't seem like it would be a negative, unless your miniplayer has experienced reduced battery life. Can't say I've really paid enough attention to the charging time of my miniplayer to tell how long it takes for a full charge.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsRead after Li-Ion type batterys. Sadly they do decrease their maximum power over time (as opposed to the amount of usage!) so there isn't much you can do but live with it. There was also a very nice guide on the forums about lithium batterys, try read over it.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostI think the guide/FAQ Speeder is referring to is this one. But I guess you already know quite a bit on Li-Ion batteries, since you already created a very nice thread adding information about the influence of storage temperature/charge on battery lifetime.
Anyway, if your player is relatively new, battery capacity shouldn't have reduced too much yet. Have you tried deep-cycling it? It may just be the "fuel gauge" circuit that needs recalibrating..

I know the battery life has to decrease at some point in life. Im talking about the charging time decreasing. It takes way less than 1 hr to fully charge the battery. Anybody has that problem?

I found out the problem. I charged my m6 when the battery was dead and it says fully charged in less than an hour. After playing it for a short time like 20 mins with backlight off, one bar drop. I have the m6 for 5.5 months now, therefore, that shouldnt happen.
I realize that the m6 wasnt fully charge even tho it said fully charged so i left it on the charger for one more hr and it worked. It was fully charged, so maybe the m6 was still receiving power even tho it said fully charge.R.W.

yeah same here roryrudy...never trust the m6 when it says fully charged...chances are its lying...they should fix that in a firmware update if its a problem with a lot of people though i haven't heard anybody else here complain abt this problem except for you and me....

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostHumm.. ok, so you deep-charged your player... that should do the trick if it was the battery problem I was talking about. Does the battery status indicator seem correct now?
Please keep us updated if next time you charge it the M6 also reports "fully charged" before time.

The new firmware really works (2.004.6) and it solved it. The battery charging problem has been really fixed.
M6 Sp\tp 2.004.6
Problem was--The m6 gets fully charged within 1 hr. It looks fully charged but in reality its not. The previous firmware must have had misjudged it and therefore i always get decreased battery time, it might not be obvious (like 12-14 hrs continuous playback). The new firmware (2.004.6) actually takes 2 hr to fully charge the m6 and u get the 20 hr or more continuous playback.
N.B. im still using my 2.004.5 skin. I just extracted the images, im not sure if i had to do that.
