    after updating firmware problem

After I have updated my M6 SL to the latest firmware, my M6 just freezes at the miniplayer screen. It said "Update Music Library," but there is no progress bar at the bottom and it has been going at it for 10 minutes now. Anyone know what is the problem? Thanks

EDITED: Hm... the problem seem to have fixed itself after waiting for over 20 minutes. =/

Ever since I updated my firmware, my M6 has been taking nearly 15 minutes to finish updating its library. I am trying to format my player, but it is not working. I hold the play and >> buttons down for 20 seconds, but when I turn on my player again, everything was just as it was before I did anything and the updating music library screen is as slow as always. Any one know how I am suppose to format my player?

Yes, to format, when your player is at the loading... screen, press the << button. I would suggest that you just update the firmware to the same thing again.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

For some reason my update music library taking around 10 minutes to complete even after I have re-updated the new firmware. The progress bar takes around 5 minutes to appear and it will start moving a few minutes later. Anyone else is experiencing the same problem? Btw I am confuse regarding my updating firmware. When it said "Updating Software Please Wait...," my M6 will automatically turn off, but when I press any button a screen will flash saying that same message for less than a second. Am I suppose to turn on my M6 at that point or am I suppose to wait until it stop doing that?

Maybe you can try to perform a hard reset....make a backup before, because all your data will be lost...i have the latest firmware on my meizu M6SL and i don't have any problem during updating music library. Anyway, if the problem persists, you can try to use DFU Tool...it's very simple if you have a M6SL (see the FAQ)

The firmware is two files, not just one. If you are going to do a true update, do the resource file as well.

    1. When you get the "Updating software...." screen, it will shutdown the player on it's own when it is complete.

    2. If you've put both the M6.ebn and resource.bin files into the root directory, when you power it back on after the software update, you'll get the "Updating resource....." screen. It will then reload the entire firmware, and power on as normal.

    3. It's not unusual for the process of updating the resource file to take more than one attempt. If you get a green "No resource...." screen, simply plug it back into the usb and re-copy the resource file into the root directory.

And if your player doesn't respond, holding down the Enter button down will force it off. This can take up to 30 seconds, so be patient and keep holding until it turns off.

the same thing used to happen to me on my m6sp when i updated to the latest firmware (2004.5 i think it was...) it took atleast 5 whole freakin minutes to update library...so all i did was switch back to the good ol' reliable 2003.2b firmware which has more skins options too....besides, all these useless firmware updates are just what they are....useless...

@jarmarc, it's not only the first time after updating the firmware that it's too slow, also all the other times when I put new music on my player.
