You should try to re-encode that video, because there is probably an error in it that makes the M6 crash. I myself use a freeware tool named SUPER to convert between video file types, it's very easy to use. You have to make the video in an AVI container, the video stream must be XviD type, and 384kbit/second and the audio stream must be MP3 type, probably 128kbit/second. I recommend a frame rate of 18. Video size should be 320 * 240.
In case there would be an error converting, you can try different converting engines: mencoder, ffmpeg.
If re-encoding the video doesn't fix the problem, then I guess it would need to be edited a bit in VirtualDub (for example)...
