I have the same problem, but I don't remember having it on the older firmware versions... I agree this scratch can be really annoying sometimes

same problem here, actually i got this problem with files downloaded thru p2p programs...
I had the problem also with V1.009 and seems that may need a program to re-rip the files to get them working good.... not tried thoInternet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt happens on VBR files. My other mp3s seem to play fine, but I have this on VBR files because the M6 seems to misjudge the time longer then the file's actual time. The song ends, but the M6 still has time on the counter, and continuously skips again and again until the timer reaches 0. I have other problems, too, and I'm 100% certain they are bugs that need fixed.

The M6 skipping the first half second of sound in any music file also happens to sound in video files.I swim through a sea of stars, without looking back to shore...

same prob here
and another one REALLY annoying : i was at the library so i wasn't supposed to make any noise, and at the end of a song, the meizu became crazy as hell : it was like the sound was at level 40 during 3 seconds making a BIG noise, noise that was NOT actually included in the music
i don't know where it comes from, but that's quite annoying...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsi agree that it is to do with the actual file, and not the meizu player itself.
as to what is wrong with the file (eg vbr/cbr bitrate etc.) im not sure of.
i do get this myself as well, and i use vbr files. so DChronos is definitely right.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell, today I just found out a regular ordinary mp3, 128Kbps, which has no silence at the end of it, also skips... for exxactly the same amount of time that gets cut off from every file. Now I know what's wrong. This has to be a bug, or something. What's going on is, the M6 starts playing .5 seconds into the file, cutting off the first half second. Then, when it gets to the end of the song, the file ends .5 seconds before the timer on the song does, so it skips back and repeats the last half second again, THEN goes to the next song when the time left hits 0.
Then, it's worse off in VBR files because the M6 judges the song length incorrectly. It still cuts off the first half second, but when it gets to the end of the file, there is still 1-5 seconds left on the time. I am going to make a recording from my M6 just to show exactly what's going on, and point it at Meizu, hoping they have either found and fixed it already, oir so they understand that it's a bug and fix it next time.I swim through a sea of stars, without looking back to shore...

the MP3 VBR files from allofmp3 that I have work fine...
maybe its an issue with older versions of the VBR encoding? (as often found on the free networks)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsDid you ever try looking at the bitrate on the M6, and taking a file with no silence at the beginning and end, and encoding it exactly the same, then playing it all the way through on it?

Hey Betacart are you guys aware of this problem?
It was already submited to Meizu for them to fix it?Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Only saying VBR will not work make no sense.
I can say LAME VBR 3.93 works like a charm. No problems at all.

I am with peterhamburg and Firepower.... it must depend on what kind of VBR you use...
I use tons of VBR and never have any problems...
