I think I "bricked" my Meizu... *solved*

First of all, I'll tell you the symptoms, and then how it happened.

Black screen with a grey bar on top (looks like the menu bar) no menu or anything else, the scroll wheel clicks when I use it, so I know that works, but none of the buttons do anything. I've tried resetting (a whole bunch of different ways) and nothing works. The computer doesn't recognize that it's plugged in when it is, so fixing by connection doesn't seem to work (EG, DFU doesn't see the player plugged in)

Ok, now, how it all started.
I recently upgraded my firmware, which worked out fine, and I discovered at the same time I could skin my loving M6, so I did what most people do, go skin-happy and download as many as I could find. Upon trying one of the skins, it gave me the message "could not find resource file" (or something of that nature) and so I tried the old "turn-off, turn-on" and it came back with my black screen as described above.

I'm not sure why you'd need to know, but just in case:

Meizu M6 SP 4GB upgrading to 2.004.4 (I think is the most recent firmware)

Anyone experience the same thing? Can anyone help?

Ah. You copied over an invalid resource file. Use the one from your firmware version and you'll be fine.

Are you sure the computer doesn't recognize it if you plug it in after you turn it on?

Thanks

Ok, that seemed to have worked.

Thanks a lot, I was really worried I'd have to buy a new one (Because we all know how horrible it would be to have to buy a Meizu MiniONE phone...lol)

Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until I buy the phone....

But, now my M6 works, so it's all good, right?
thanks again,
~Frosty

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, the player was on when I couldn't get it to recognize USB. I tried resetting again, and it worked well enough to get it to turn off, and then on again let the computer know that there was in fact something there. Then a quick firmware switch, like you suggested.

Yup, enjoy your player! Remember, everytime you get the "could not find resource file" error, simply copy the resource to the player and restart.
