    Charging - Doesn't turn on?

    Hey all,

My M6SL 8gb just arrived in the mail

It's been sitting next to me charging for the last 15 mins or so, is it normal to not be able to turn it on during charging? Seems strange. Also, if I disconnect the charger and try and turn it on, I get nothing. However, if I press the Play button, the screen will flash white very quickly (about 1/20 second). I'm assuming that the battery is just dead flat and I just need to leave it on charge for a few hours?

How do you try to turn it on? The play button is the on/off switch. You have to hold the PLay button for 3 secounds to turn it on. Oh, and Welcome to Meizume and Congrats on your Meizu Purchase.

One question: Once I have finished copying music, it is safe to simply disconnect the USB cable?

    No, it is not.
To be precise, it is never sure, you have to umount your drives always.

And if that is going to take some time, it is certainly not because your OS is buggy, but because the files are still beeing copied to your drive (technically, the meizu is a mass storage device=drive)
"Und schon wieder einer mehr", sprach der HiFiGott, "der mit Musik aus der Konserve nie wieder richtig gluecklich sein wird!", und ritzte eine weitere Kerbe in sein Boxenkabel.

Maxwolfie, you can download the English manual here. It does make a difference.

This manual is for MEIZU M6, not for M6 SL, looks different.

This is not precise, you do not have to unmount your drives, at least if you're running a superior OS like Windows XP or Vista.

(A friend has a lot of problems with a new Apple by just unplugging her memory stick regardless how long she's waiting after the file transfer is complete. *Nelson* Ha-Ha*Nelson*)

You can just yank the cable out of the M6 as long as you're not doing any disk activity (ie: copying music). Same goes for any portable device, except portable HDDs.

Including portable HDDs. (The read/write heads will go back to their parking positions regardless when you unplug them)
