Auto Poweroff Freeze Problem

Just got my meizu, first post.. love the forum. Im hoping you guys can help me out.. Its an M6 SL, running the firmware that shipped with it 2.004.3.

Heres the problem:

When the player sits for more than about 2 minutes and the screen powers off the player locks up.. not right when it dims, if it dims down and you touch the keys within 30 secs or so it comes back on. If its playing music it will continue playing until you try to resume it then the audio stops. If its not playing it just locks. Once you press the play key the screen flashes white for a second and a very faint pop is heard through the headphones. Holding down the play button will reboot and it works fine again until the player sits for another 2 mins or so.

Any idea whats going on? Thank you in advance for the help!

I think that there was a fix for this included in 2.004.4

[ M6 SL firmware 2.004.4 ]

I also forgot to mention, if its charging when it happens it freezes screen on with "autopower off" at bottom of screen and wont reboot until the power is removed.

Thank you for the quick reply, where can I get the official version and instructions on how to upgrade the firmware. Thank you again!!

Go to the link I posted above and click on M6 SL 2.004.4 in the first post to download. Extract the contents of M6_SL2.004.4.rar and copy both the M6SL.ebn and the resource.bin files to your player. Disconnect, restart the player and the M6SL.ebn file will install as the player boots and you will see an Updating Software message and the player will then shutdown. Restart the player and the resource.bin file will load at boot and you will see a Updating Resources message after which your player will continue to boot as normal.

You may find that the language reverts to the Chinese default is so press menu and scroll down 10 places from the top and press enter, scroll down 7 from top and press enter then select English.

If anyone else is reading this with the same problem, I figured it out, it is a bug and it only happens when you have the back light timer set to 2 seconds... any other setting will fix the problem. Thank you!

Ironically, I experienced this same problem for the first time very soon after updating my firmware to 2.004.4. Hopefully, it was a one-time occurrence.

[... and my backlight timer was set to 10 seconds.]

I found my M6SL could not shutdown too, no matter in 2.004.3 or 2.004.4
Can anyone give me some advice?

Seems that formating the player helps to solve the problem...
But just don't know when it will happen again.
