Can I use the miniPlayer with iTunes or Windows media player?
The miniplayer seems like a very capable product but is it possible to sync the mini player to iTunes Windows media player or Winamp and transfer playlists from there onto the player, or is it just possible to drag and drop? I know that drag and drop might seem as the easiest way to transfer music, but when you've used iTunes or some media player for years and built up a personal library with tons of playlists it's harder to start browsing by folders to find your music. For example: how are you supposed to remember where you've placed a song you downloaded 2 years ago? In case the miniplayer can not be used together with iTunes, Windows media player or Winamp I need to start considering purchasing another player.

Hello fisharoon and welcome to MeizuMe. To answer your question, The MiniPlayer can be used to sync from Windows Media Player, but I do not think WMP can sync Playlists to it. You have to create your own in the player's menu (Hold down enter button when a sond is highlighted, or a album or a artist).

If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod 4G Monochrome 20GB, iPod Video 5G 80GB, iPod Photo 30GB, iPod Touch 1G 8GB, Sandisk Sansa m240 2GB, Thompson TMS T-F10E 256MB, and no, I'm not an Apple Fanboy (I merely like fixing electronics, and iPods being the most readily available...). If you could get all the iPods that I own for $100 would'nt you go for it?
Headphones: Orange Metallic In-Ear headphones, Targus ANC Headphones, Bose QC1 Headphones, SoundMagic PL-30s, and Kanon MD-52s.
Current Audio Congifuration: Meizu M6 + Fiio E5 -> Bose QC1/SoundMagic PL-30

MTP: you connect your player to a PC and you can sync the songs from PC using Windows Media Player/Winamp or iTunes and programs like that, the player will be recognized as a multimedia player in your computer, not as a drive
MSC: you connect your player to a PC and you see the player's drive as a flashdrive, which in my opinion is the best way to put your songs on the player because you are not dependent on any software

Excellent explanation by Stranded...
But there are some goodies not explained:
Working with Meizu player in MTP mode with Windows Media the files are automatically transferred to the structure ROOT\ARTIST\ALBUM\tracks.
Beside of that it transfer cover art from Windows Media Player to folder \ALBUMS in the format required by Meizu player which is albumnameARTIST.jpg, it also transfer this cover art after tracks in the above mentioned structure.
There is just one problem: Windows Media, which work with ID3v2, put cover art embedded in tag in the first track of each album, this spoils the internal #track order of Meizu player sending the first track to the last position.
This is an issue that is not properly managed by Meizu software which doesn't allow embedded cover art in tracks. This is explained here Solved the problem of alphabetical order within albums.
While this is not corrected all the benefits of USB MTP are lost.

Thanx for your replys
Thanx for your replys! So if I've understood it correctly I can use the m6 with a media player using the so called MTP-mode. Do you have to switch the player to MTP-mode manually, or can you just open your media player of choise and start transferring? I have a pdf-manual for the M6 but it doesn't say anything about MTP-mode. It only covers "drag and drop" transfers (in very poor English, I might add).
DaremoS: I didn't really get all that. From what I’ve seen the M6 doesn't even display album art at all. You say all the benefits of USB MTP are lost. Is this just because the track order is messed up? That doesn't seem like a major issue to me. I mean you can still play through a play list even if the first song comes last. Right?
