The White Screen Again

I know this has probably been posted a thousand times, but I've got that old white screen problem, except this time all the usual solutions don't work.

My daughter somehow formatted it this morning (she's 2, what you gonna do?), but afterwards I ended up with the white screen. I tried resetting, hard reset and all the rest, but for naught. Then it wouldn't connect to the computer at all. Did the DFU thing, managed to get it to recognise the hard disk again, but I've still got the white screen. I've tried updating the files again. Still nothing.

Would love there to be an easy solution to this. Managed to get it running again last time I did this, but I'm a bit pissed off that I have to go through it all again.
