No sound

I recently purchased a DANE-ELEC MEIZU Miniplayer from newegg. I loaded it up with video & mp3 and it worked well for a week. But now there is no sound. I verified that the headphones are not the problem and I have not messed with the firmware. All other function works fine. I suspect this is a connection issue. But ... any chance it could be software?

What about volume? did you check that it was up? :P

Thanks for the thought, but yeah, checked all that. Also, I did "Settings -> Reset All Settings -> OK", to reset all the settings. It's a long shot, but I've got nothing to lose, so I guess I'll try a "Initialize OS to the Original Factory Settings".

this didn't help ... same symptoms ...

If it is not the headphones as you pointed out then I would say it is a connection problem with the 3.5mm jack, if so your best bet is to get on to newegg asap for a replacement.

good advice, but unfortunately i clipped the upc for the rebate and now newegg won't replace, i just requested an RMA from DANE-elec, with any luck that will go smoothly ...
