    Change System Language
    1. Turn on the player.
    2. Click on Menu button until you enter the Main Menu.
    3. Select the second-to-last option.
    4. For firmware version 2.XXX, select the seventh option. For firmware 1.XXX, select third option.
    5. Select the language you want to use.
    6. Done!

maybe there is an english only firmware outthere but the original firmware comes in chinese and english.
No need to change firmware, jut set your language the first time you use the player and youre good to go

I've upgraded the firmware already but to be honest I haven't noticed any real benefit from doing so.

What benefits are there supposed to be? I'm now running version S2.003.2

    Thanks

Still in Chinese- instructions don't work for firmware 2.004.4 SL

    Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I just bought the M6 and had it a week before I got the No Resource message for some reason when I turned it on. After trying the DFU and other posted ways of loading firmware, I finally was able to restore the latest firmware which I got from the MEIZU web site by copying just the Resource.bin file to the route of the player. I'm now running firmware version 2.004.4 for the SL version of the M6 but the problem is that now it's in Chinese and the instructions given in this thread are not correct, at least not on this firmware version. How do I switch it to English or where can I find an English only version of the firmware. (If not English only at least default English)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Menu -> scroll down 9 lines -> hit the center button -> scroll down 6 lines -> hit the center button -> set to English.

    That should be it.
