Hello all,
My M6 is a year old almost, and for the last few weeks has been behaving very strangely, I'm wondering whether its worth fixing or getting another player.
Usually she boots up, but sometimes I can simply touch the minijack fitting, or power button, or touchpad, and the screen goes black. You press the power button and can see the screen for a fraction of a second, but then it disappears again. Then it becomes more weird. Sometimes I have to press and hold the enter key, then power key, then M key etc each for 30+ seconds, and then MAYBE I will be able to boot up again, but a few seconds later, black screen, same problem again.
Its almost as though some water got into the mechanics and there is a bad connection, or perhaps being dropped once too many times, or...
Big Q's
1/ Has anyone had this kind of strangeness/know whats up?
2/ is it possible to send it to China to be repaired (it was bought on ebay)
Thanks!
Mark.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSome more info on this... it sometimes freezes with loading... and some tiny white speckles, like TV snow, but more sparse.
Other times it just powers off for no apparent reason.
It didnt used to do this stuff, I wonder if the latest firmware is dodgy, or whether there is something physically wrong with the buttons, a bad connecton or something.
Any bright ideas?
Thanks

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm having the same sorts of problems! I did use the DFU tools to get the latest frimware onboard and it did work.... for 1 day.... now its died again! Very flaky stability. I was trying to get this fixed for my son... he gave up and bought an iPod... so now I'm the proud owner of a 4GB MEIZU SP which doesnt work.

Hi yep, TP with 2.003.2 and when I boot up it says "Next & Meizu"
Today I clawed it mostly open with my thumbnail, only the end with the minijack/USB/strap connectors was still holding on, so I did not force it... then snapped it back and it has been behaving well for several switches on & off. I can even pull out the headphone minijack without the screen going black.
GO FIGURE!?

Sounds like something may have been shorting against the metal back.
