    problem....

So my Meizu told me to "update resources" and I downloaded the newest firmware upgrade the player. After upgrading the firmware the screen turned white! My computer is not recognizing the player anymore and I've tried using DFU tools and all it gives me is a "Failed to open - M6.EBN" error. I need help!!! I love my Meizu and it died at such a young age!!!! I've also tried soft and hard reset and no help still. Let me know if you guys know whats the problem. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Did you use the right version firmware to match your player TP or SP?
Have you got the M6.EBN in the DFU Tool folder?

I have the SP. I THINK I have the right version. But lets say I used the wrong version. How do I fix it??

And how do I get the M6.EBN in the DFU tool folder??

The same way you would copy any other file on your PC. Right click on the M6.EBN select copy, right click on DFU Tool folder and select paste.

Before you do anything more I suggets you read through the FAQ section and make sure you fully understand the DFU recovery process. If used incorrectly the DFU Tool can cause furthur problems.

You should have tried a simple reset before ...

Press "enter" for about 15 sec, until your player turn off.
    Then turn it on again.
Do it as many time as needed.

You may have only a black screen at a moment, nevermind, turn it off again by pressing "enter"

It happened to me yesterday while trying to update to the 2.004..1 version of the firmware.

I 've had several crashes since I got my M6, 'cause I did all the firmware update and more, but NEVER need DFU Tools ... never ....

You all should learn to wait a little.

He says he got a white screen. That happend when one installs the wrong version firmware, as far as I know from other tech posts... And then, the reset won't work so he'll need the tractor indeed. He should carefully read the FAQ and do the steps described in there, and it should work. Also tripple check everything. If the update through DFU tools is seriously mussed up, the M6 may be "bricked".

White screen is shown WHEN you update the firmware too, not only when something goes wrong.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Err0r, I'm starting to think you need to add a global announcement stating "Those with a WHITE SCREEN view this first!", and list the info about the wrong firmware, DFU Tools, and other things about the white screen, 'cause you literally get the same topics about once a day or every few sometimes. There's waaaay too many threads about the same thing that's the biggest known and easy to find problem that can happen.
