    Homemade External Battery Pack

I was wondering if one could make an external battery pack instead of buying one (ex. Altiod can iPod Chargers that are so popular). Are there any circuits on the inside that make it special?
Or could I just build an iPod charger with a usb port such as this:

there is nothing special about the external chargers - as long as you give the meizu the right voltage/ampere all will be fine.

Nothing special Meizu related needed, the ipod design would work just fine.

Portable USB battery pack for M6

I made this simple battery pack from a 4-cell AA holder and a mini-B USB cable that I had laying around.

With 2500mAH Ni-MH rechargeables, you can re-charge the M6 about 3 times. No voltage regulator need. Hot off the charger, the pack is at 5.5V or so, but when plugged into the M6 it will quickly drop to about 5V. Works good.

You can get 100+ hours of audio or 20+ hours of video with this pack.

Yes, but isn't the M6 not chargable while it's playing? And one probably can get to a power plug daily I guess. Nice little gadget tho

You can charge the M6 while it is playing (or not). If you connect the battery pack when M6 is turned on it will charge. If the M6 is turned off and you connect the pack, it wil charge but you will not be able to turn the M6 on until you remove the battery pack.
Only the +ve and -ve of the USB cable are connected to the battery pack.

The M6 cannot be charged while it is playing if you connect it to a computer (it will become a USB device).
