The rest is used by firmware
you can check this by going to the settting menu and then to "about"the player will display the memory total, the memory available for use and the firmware version

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou will quickly find out that you are limited to the file limit 0f 2048. This really sucks and I wish MEIZU would fix the problem. Other wise why buy an 8 gig?
I own an 8 gig and because of this file limit I am sorry I bought the MEIZU.
