well i discovered dfu tools, and i tried it on my laptop but it wouldn't work. everytime i tried to run it, it would say 'failed to verify device software'. so i went on my moms laptop and tried it, and it was going, but then it froze. and i got really pissed off. so i x'd it out and unplugged the player. and now when i try to turn it on, the screen wont even BLINK. and when i try to hold down m+power, and then plug in the usb cord, the computer doesn't recognize it at all. nothing comes up regarding the player or a usb device or anything. helpppp.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe only thing I could tell you is to try holding enter for 15 seconds to reset... but I'm willing to bet if that does anything, you'll end up with nothing but the white flash when you try to turn it on, every time you hold the play button down, and nothing else beyond that. I hope not, but I'm just taking a shot in the dark guess. Mine is that way, and is dead right now. Keep trying DFU Tools over and over and over again until it finishes loading the firmnware and lets you quit out and stuff. Don't let your fingers slip off the play and m button during the process. And as always, good luck.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFirst of all, why would you use DFU tools as your first resort? It is set up as the LAST available resort... tell us what your problem was in the first place before you used the DFU tools...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postswell this is the thread i made before i even knew what dfu tools was:
soo yesterday my sister got a new meizu m6 sp and i was playing around with it. and i found a firmware download on the website that said it could play animated gifs. and i was like OHHH COOOL. so i downloaded it onto her meizu. little did i know it was TP instead of SP. and i didn't even restart the player after putting the firmware on. i just put an animated gif onto her meizu and like an idiot i tried to set it as the background. and it froze. i managed to reset it but when i turned it on it was just a white screen. and so i plugged it into the computer, and i deleted absolutely everything in the meizu folder, because i heard you were supposed to do that from somewhere. now when i press the button to turn it on, the screen just blinks and it doesn't turn on. and now the computer can't detect it
HELP!

If your program froze in the middle of uploading the M6.ebn into your player, then your player is toast. Sorry for the bad news, but the only thing you can do now is send it back, or buy a new one...
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer
