Just got the M6. So far it's okay, except the sound is too bright and metallic for me. In fact, it kind of give me a headache listening to it after 10mins or so. I have volume way down, which kinda kills the enjoyment. Maybe I'm just used to my old DAP with warmer sound, but I prefer warmer sound (I'm using the same headphone)
I tried the various EQ setings. They don't seem to do much. The only things that really alter the sound is the spatializer and bass boost, but they don't really help either. can someone suggest a setting that makes for warmer sounds?

with the EQ you can make the sound as warm as you like
there is a 10 band EQ so its all up to you
also, diffrent earphones might be an option as they have great impact on the soundquality

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsyes, DACs are largely very similar for these consumer grade electronics. your headphones will affect the sound much more. you have the EQ to play with anyway.

be sure that Spatializer is OFF. Use Equalizer to pull down the high frequencies until the metallic sound has gone.
But I want to emphasize that for most people the Meizu sounds very good when the EQ is flat. Maybe you have another technical problem than settings.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBy the sound of it it seems you're lacking midrange sounds. Pull the middle bars in the user-defined EQ a bit higher, that should do it.
And definitely get a pair of quality earphones!
