    Screen is Constantly Blank

    Hey All,
I've had my meizu for a few months now and I've rarely had issues. I always use the browser and go into the folders to access anything and recently, the folders and files in the Music folder are all jumbled up (wrong order, wrong folder, duplicate folders) and quite a few folders and files are written in chinese .. as you can see things got all screwy. This happened after i pulled the USB cable from my computer from the player. I remedied the problem simply by deleting the contents of the Music folder and transferring them again.

NOW the problem is that the player first becomes slow to respond and then totally unresponsive. When i hook it up to my computer, it is recognized but the player's screen does not change to it's usual "USB Connected". After disengaging it from the USB cable, the screen is still blank. I can't tell what's going on because the screen is always black now. I assume it's on because I can see it on my computer as a removable drive. Can anyone help me ? and if i do get the screen to respond, is there anything that can be done about it's slow responsiveness and/or the lack thereof ?

do you hear the touchpad button sound when you touch.scroll over it?
if so, reset your player (play+enter for 20 seconds)
    good luck

well .. was able to reset the player and it worked fine on the way home from work. but the next day, i turn it on and it says something along the lines of "formatting ......."

oddly enough, i didn't freak out. so NOW, it's done formatting but i think it lacks the firmware and therefore, cannot play mp3s. i am able to, however, view it on my computer as a removable hard disk and store files on it still. when i try to play mp3s, it says "No Resource! Please Upgrade Resource Again!". I take that to mean "re-install the firmware !!". would i be right in that assumption ? thanks

you should put the firmware files in the root of your player and then restart your player, then when it turns on put your music on it and test.

    good luck

yep...seems like you got some firmware issues
try reloading the firmware... your player itself is probably fine..
