I currently have a Samsung T9 but the M6 has me intrigued. I have some questions:
1) I listen to audiobooks with long mp3s (1 hour or more). The T9 can fast forward very fast (longer you hold down >> faster it goes). Can the M6 do the same? Can you jump to the 45 min mark in a 60 min track by holding down >> for 5secs or so?
2) here http://tinyurl.com/2rh9ql
a seller claims the M6 has built in speaker. I don't see it any where else. Is he full of it?
3) how can I tell if version being sold is SP?
4) Can you set an image as background for the player? does it understand folder.jpg?? i.e., you put a jpeg in a folder and it displays that while playing songs in that folder.
5) is the FM receiver strong. it has programmable FM recording right?
6) does FF and RW continue to next / reverse to previous song? i.e., when you hold down >> and it reaches end of song, it continues FF to next song, and vice versa, when you hold << and reach beginning of song, it continues << from the END of previous song, treating all the songs like one long continuous track.
7) can you bookmark a place?
8) are the dimensions in the spec correct? it seems it's just slightly larger than the samsung T9 yet has a 2.4" screen? does someone have a picture of it next to a real world object, like a credit card or ipod nano?
9) how do you feel SQ stack up to other players, e.g., ipod shuffle. I'm concerned about the reported hissing. Is this audible on phones with 24-32ohms impedance?
10) is there a brick and mortar store where I can buy this?
anyone with a T9 please chime in with any comparsion.
thanks much in advance.

1. You can FF an audio track with >> but I have never played a 60min audio file so do not know speed.
2. If it has a built in speaker then it is not a genuine Meizu but a cheap clone.
3. The TP version is no longer in production so I doubt you could buy one if you wanted.
4. You can set album art to be displayed at about 80x80 pixels and you can set different back ground images for Music, Radio, Record and ebook gui's. There are quite a few thread on methods for setting up album art so do a search.
5. I live in a rural location and it has trouble picking up a signal with an auto scan but works fine in the city. I set up a station list in FM.ini file. You can only manually FM record.
6. If you press and hold down FF it will continue to fast forward through the next song. If you press and hold REW it will rewind and stop on the last track.
7. You can not place audio bookmarks, but you can set text file bookmarks.
8. What are the specs you are looking at? Its approx 78mmx48mmx10mm once again there are a few posts showing size comparisons.
9. There seems to be those that hear a hiss and others that report no hiss. I am a no hiss kind of guy.
10. Depends on where you are.

1. Yes it can scroll pretty fast. There is a function that allows you to select the precise time of the mp3 track you wish to jump to.
2. The M6 does not have built in speakers that can play music. It has a mini speaker but that is only for the button-click sound, monotone, and is hidden. So you can say there is no built in speaker.
3. You can only buy SP versions now, TP have stopped factory production. The back of your M6 will say if it is SP version or not.
4. Yes you can set jpg files as backgrounds for music, radio, and recording. There is also album art, that displays a picture to the left of the screen (not full screen). Album art works by having the picture named as the album id3 tag in the songs, of which have to be in the same folder (jpg + mp3s).
5. FM is strong, but it also is dependent on your earphones - the cord acts as an antenna. No, there is no "timer" radio recording function (ie. you cannot set to start record radio at 11:20AM). You have to start and stop it yourself.
6. FF gets you to the next track. RW gets you to the beginning of the same song, unless it is within 2 or 3 seconds from the beginning of that song.
7. No you cannot bookmark a "place" (whatever that means).
8. Search the forum. There is a good comparison picture of the M6 to iPods, and business cards.
9. Sound quality is a thousand times better then the iPod. M6 has spatializer and also a 10-band equalizer, which no other mp3 has, to date. Hissing is minimal, and has dropped a bit since firmware upgrades. Spatiazlier causes the hissing, so don't use it if you dont want.
10. Depends on where you live. Check out Marketplace section, there is some great deals and sellers there.
I don't have a T9, this M6 is pretty much my first mp3 player and I am loving it. Just ask anyone who owns it.
BTW: You ask too much questions. I personally like to find out things by myself... isn't that much more fun? Some of the questions here are very ... no word to describe.Meizu M8 MiniOne
