    will not play

i just got my player yesterday, loaded it with music last night, and it worked great. today, i tried to use it, but there's this white block in the upper left corner of the screen where the play arrow should be. this isn't addressed in the manual. what happened, and how do i fix it? it hasn't been dropped. i've tried pressing the on/off/play button on top, but all i get is off/on.

The white block is just the stop symbol. So the player boots ok? Can you still use the other controls, M to enter the menu or << >> to skip tracks?

try upgrading firmware to the latest. (if you already have latest just do it again), don't worry you wont loose the music, photos etc already on there.
Latest firmware as of now is T2.003.4

Check the firmware threads for more details.

As this thread is under Meizu Mini Player M6\Technical I think "beth" has an M6, the T2003.4 is for the M3. The most recent M6 is 2.003.2

    does not play

the white block in the upper left corner is an icon. it appears to be the "stop" like what's on a DVD player.

So is there a problem or not? It sounds like you fixed it, but then you have a "does not play" title.
