2. Will it be able to sort my don't-know-what tags I've written to my .ogg-files with the program mentioned above?
2.1. ...even if they're in Japanese?
3. Will I have troubles being on Linux (Kubuntu)?

Linux will work fine as its a mass storage device, Not sure about the japanese charachters but .ogg tags should be fine.

check the forum to see if there is a Japanese language firmware available
