USB OTG Hardware in External Battery

I was wondering if there is additional hardware in the external battery that needs to be used for OTG in the M6. Has anyone taken one apart yet? If the wires going to the open USB port on the external battery are either all connected directly to the M6, or 2 connected to the external battery for the power supply, it means you don't need the external battery accesory to use USB OTG. If however either all the wires go into the main circuit board, or 2 that are connected to the circuit board do not have a stady flow of current and voltage, you need the external battery for USB OTG. This can be easily checked by using a volt-meter/Amp-meter. Thanks!
