My M6 only recognizes artist ID3 tags for certain songs from the same album...

3 out of 12 songs from the same album show up as "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album". I don't understand why... The files were all ripped at the same time from the same CD, and their ID3 tags all show the same thing. Happening with a few other songs too.

Why are some not recognized?

EDIT: Does it have anything to do with the fact that some of the songs are in their own folders and some are in the root MUSIC directory?

good question. I suggest to load these songs with mp3tag and apply the same artist to them again. There must be a difference.

Using mp3tag now. It looks like the common thing between the songs that aren't recognized is the ID3 version. ID3v2.2 songs don't show up while ID3v2.3 songs do. Now to figure out how to switch them...

Saved all the files with mp3tag to make them v2.3 but it didn't change anything. Still not showing up.

Either it was the filename or the fact that it was in it's own separate folder that seems to have done it.
