I wouldn't say tha the M6 itself has a limited lifetime, rather the battery does. I believe the battery is prone to die after about 2-3 years of standard use. At this time, the battery is not easily replaceable.

Changing the battery seems not to be too difficult, if only someone would know where to buy one.

Another option is the ext. battery pack, which makes it possible to use the M6 even if the build-in battery has no power (afaik).

Everything on Earth has a limited lifetime. Meizu players are not some paranormal phenomenon. What kind of question is this?

So you should have asked for warranty and not for lifetime.

Well in his defense, some electronics can last for a lifetime. Consider new tv's made now. They are made to live longer than any of us (even though they would be obsolete). But in portable devices, the battery is almost always the first thing to go. Even if the battery is user replaceble ala Creative's Mp3 Players, there's nowhere to buy batteries, so in effect, all portable devices are only good for 2-3 years on average.

Lifetime warranty in a majority of cases means the lifetime of the product, not the owner.

Looking at JimmydeGL's post, if the player keeps working PROPERLY, and not die at random for no reason, then even if the battery dies, all you have to do is get a new one that's compatible and wire that into it in place of the dead M6 battery. Better know what you're doing before you try that, though. It's not too hard to figure out.

depends what you mean by lifetime , If you consider it still working with only a few hours of playback time , and a worn down toutch pad that is unresoinsive.... Then the lifetime of the player is not going to be a hudge amount.... Although....
People should post their pics of the "Worst M6" because im not sure how badly the m6 can be in condition. I havnt got a scratch on the M6 becauase of the protective films , But on my old broken one as soon as you take the plastic stuff off it gets all circular scratced over the screen visable in sunlight.

    Yep.

As far as I know, it has a year's parts/labor warranty, which is just fantastic for such an affordable player.

If that was true, your 'lifetime warranty' could end after 5 minutes.

The 'lifetime warranty' (unfortunately the M6 does not have it) always lasts your (the customers) whole life.

Here is an example (not meant as advertising):

I never said it couldn't, you might want to read my sentence again. I said the majority, not always. It is rare for the item to have a lifetime warranty that lasts until you sell the item or die. Most electronics and items in general have a warranty based on the lifetime the company sets for the product. For the M6, like 4ki said, Meizu has set the lifetime of the product at 1 year.

Where did you get 5 minutes? That makes no sense.

I hope it has a longer 'lifetime'.

Warranty for 1 or two years has nothing to do with the 'lifetime' of a product.
    (except foodstuff or medicals)

When a company gives you 'lifetime warranty' it has no time limit.
