    Volume issues?

Hi I need some help. I've been reading through the forum and many mini-player owners have said they keep their volume between 15 and 25 but I have my volume at 40 and it isn't really that loud. I've also got my volume restriction at 40. I've installed the new firmware with no new result. Any suggestions?

    Check your headphones/earphones?
Make sure your music not tuned downed to something like 30dB or something like that.

    40 is way too much.

I always use mine around 10 or 11, never above 15. maybe something is wrong with your earphone connection jack.

I also listen to my music at loud levels, around 35-38 most of the time, is it possible there may be differences in audio output with newer models guys???

no way to fix that, it's a bug in the FW. If you just need more maximum volume in radio mode, there are 2 things you can do :
    1. use the spatializer, it produces louder sound automatically
    2. get in-ears

None of the sound-effects work with radio, so the spatilizer does not help.

For me the M6 sounds best without any soundeffects set, so i've got (almost) the same volume with radio & mp3.
This means about 35-40 is loud enough, but not extremely loud.

Since some of you say they can enjoy the sound at level 10-15,
it must be a hardware difference, like djmesh supposes.

Of course it also depends on the sensitivity of your headphones and your ears
and how loud the mp3 is recorded, but this cannot result in such a big difference.

oops, you're absolutely right. My memory played tricks on me, I used the radio only the first days.

Can you give up more info as to what headphones your using etc. Also are your files volume limited?

Im using Shure E2c and my files a volume gained down to 89db which is roughly -5 or -6 db from the norm....

OK, with my Shure E3C's I never go louder than ~15, but when I use my headphones ( Bose Triport On Ear, Sony MDR-V500 ) I really go at volumes like 35.. I hope that is not strange
