So what is the solution to the track order bug

As was discussed in previous threads there's an issue where the Meizus don't play an Album in proper track order - under the Album choice you will see it plays the songs in alphabetical order and not in track order as the artist intended. My library has track numbers in the tag(ID3v2) but my M6 is ignoring them

The previous threads never came up with a solution to this bug - Has anybody figured it out or come up with a workaround.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Does this happen to ALL of your albums? All my albums work just fine... except for one (an mp3 album my friend gave me which lists tracks alphabetically). Other than that, I use WMP to rip all my CDs and they are listed correctly in my Meizu M6.

I am using Winamp too - All of my albums are this way . Question for you, what format do you use for your filenames. I am using "Artist - Song name - Album name". i don't use track number in the filename but my track numbers are in the tag.

I'm still waiting for my meizu to come but what I thought was that the track numbers worked properly in the new firmware. At least hope that is correct.

happened to me a couple of times... i think i just copied a track number from id3v2 to id3v1 tag. try some software to correct your id3tags... there is quite basic and therefore very handy tool I found http://fixtag.sourceforge.net/. Give it a go.

My track numbers should be fine - I have used MP3tag, which is one of the more popular tag editors out there. I am woindering if the Meizu only works with id3v1 then, which would suck since v2 was designed to replace v1.

Not sure what to do at this point.

This M6 is frustrating. It has so much potential and specs are great yet the little glitches in it and incompatibility with WMP11, album art issues, makes it another IPOD wannabe. Wake up Meizu and forget about triyng to copy
Apples iphone with your M8 and fix the products use people have already bought.

Can you tell my frustration - As an owner of 2 M6s I will never buy another Meizu product again

Your track numbers will be fine but in id3v2, as you said, perhaps it only works with id3v1.
Try it and tell us if you want; one file with only v2 and one file only v1 and see what happens.

How do I determine, and or change what version of ID3 the song is - I am using Winamp to sync. I noticed Mp3tag has both v1 and v2, but I also noticed there are 4 different viariants of V2 - wondering if this is the issue. By the way, all of my files are WMA - would that affect it at all. One thing that might help is I used to sync via WMP11 and I thought I didn't see this problem, but I had numerous other problems with the M6, such as album art, and playlists, so I switched to WinAmp for syncing(As recommended by someone) which solved those other issues, but now I am seeing the track order isse.

So my question is - what version of tag does WMP11 use, and what does Winamp use, aqnd is there anyway to convert and pick which version to use on songs.

More oddities - So I grabbed some of my original WMA files off my computer and drag and dropped them onto the player(Not synced with Winamp) and the track orded is fine on those, so whatever format WMP11 has them in is good, but when I synced(Which converted as well) with Winamp, they are all messed up - Winamp seems to be causing the problem. But I need to Sync and convert because my original files are too big(Higher Kbs) Any one know what could be causing this and more importantly, how to correct it.

    Thanks,
    Michael

that's the disadvantage of proprietary formats. Be smart and use mp3 and flac instead.

I like WMA because personnally I have found sound quality on WMA to be better than MP3 , and smaller files sizes. Now I don't know how Flac compares
