Song deleted but still showing under Album/Artist/etc

Today my Meizu M6 8GB arrived and until now i am very happy with it.

But i have one small problem. There were some "show case" music files on the player. I connected it to linux as removable device and deleted them.
After that i uploaded my music to the meizu and updated the database manually via the menu entry in the player menu.

Now my music shows up and at the bottom there are still the show case MP3s. I have checked with the internal data browser on the Meizu and they are not there. When I try to play one of the show case file it gives me no sound but it still has the name and the track length and it looks like playing a normal file...

How do i get rid of these old entries? As i said I already tried rebuilding/refreshing the database.

    Thanks in advance

make sure you have view hidden /system files turned on in your file viewer (linux equivalent to explorer) there has been previous post about phantom files and i think it was due to hidden files or a linux type of recycle bin on the remote drive. Try turning of the the recycle bin option.

I am not running linux but this is from memory from a post long long time ago in an OS far far away. :P

You're memory was right. The files were in the "trash folder" under music.. I thought i deleted them in a proper way, but they were still in the trash.

I deleted them now from trash, rebuild the database and now the show case files are gone

Thanks, now i am sure: i will keep my meizu and will not send it back :D

I have a similar problem under Ubuntu Linux:

I have a Folder called ".Trash-oCfuu" on my Meizu. I know Ubuntu creates this if you delete a file from the player using the delete key and not "shift-delete". Now I can see the file but every-time I try to delete it, I get the error message: "This Folder cannot be deleted because it is on a read-only disk." I tried using the console, but same error... Any help? Is there a way of formatting the player?
    Thank you!

    try
    Code:
    sudo rm -R /media/disk/MUSIC/.Trash-oCfuu
/media/disk being the mount point of your meizu.
