I do not think your Meizu is dead, maybe it is couruppted firmware. I would suggest using DFU Tools. You can install that from the DFU thread. I nedd to stress to never let go of the M and Power button while using DFU! If you do, then your player will be truly dead. When you have installed, follow the instructions on the DFU thread. If it doesn't work the first time try again. When I had to use DFU, it took me 30 tries before it finally started to load the firmware into ny player. It is ok if an error message pops up, keep on trying. Hope this helps

Before using a prog. like dfu-tools, you should try to do the different kinds of reset (pressing the enter button for about 10-20 sec. should let your player shut down).
