(MAC+MEIZU)Syncing meizu with itunes on a MAC

I bring good news to all my fellow MAC+MEIZU users, I found 2 programs that can make things easier if you really love Itunes but also love your Meizu. The first is ITMW its a plugin for itunes that allows you to sync with your phone or any mountable drive in this case MEIZU, the link to download this is
    http://ilari.scheinin.fidisk.fi/itunemywalkman/

(P.S. I had some problems with some of the songs skipping going to the next song, but apart from that the songs played well)

The other which I thought was a little better and faster is SYNCTUNES, this is a standalone syncer that allows you to sync to any mountable drive, this was a little bit easier to use. The link to download this is
    http://www.nesfield.co.uk/synctunes/

I have tried both of the programs you suggested. It's true that SyncTunes is easier to use, HOWEVER; there was an error the last time I tried syncing me Meizu M6 to my iTunes playlist and it froze.

I had left it to sync and came back 10 minutes later to see it frozen, so I Force-Quit Synctunes. I went back to iTunes and noticed that ALL OF MY SONGS were "not found." SyncTunes had DELETED ALL MY iTUNES LIBRARY, but that's not the worst of it...

After trying to open other programs to see if other files were affected, I found that all my iPhoto library was GONE, all my recent downloads deleted and several other important files missing. SyncTunes was deleting EVERY FILE ON MY HARD DRIVE.

Thankfully, I run Time Machine and was able to restore my computer to my last backup... my advice: stick with iTuneMyWalkman. It's clunky, but it won't delete your hard drive!!!

Also: USE BACKUPS. This was the first time ever that I have lost information and my heart literally stopped for a minute when I saw all my iTunes library gone. Whew. Thanks Time Machine!

    SyncTunes

soup, you should email the author of SyncTunes. It sounds like he has seen this and has a fix for it with SyncTunes 2.0.0 release 2.

This is great...for Macintosh users, what about a version for Windows? By the way, great find.

Only if it is compatible with the miniPlayer itself.

If you want iTunes music files support, just wait until Rockbox is out for the M6. In the meantime, grab a converter and just convert your favorite songs for now.

Rockbox is an alternative open-source operating system currently being developed by several small time programmers.

    Please read thoroughly.
Try Amazon mp3, it's cheaper plus it has no DRM.

Hi, do you happen to have a copy of XP? If you do, you can install XP on your Mac. If not, try a XP Emulator, such as VMWare. I don't know why, but some people are able to use their M6's fine with Macs, but others have the same problem as you. Another thing you can try is Windows Media Player for Mac, and go to your Meizu's settings menu and set the USB mode to MTP. Then see if WMP recognizes your M6. If it does, use WMP to sync your player. Hope this helps, and Welcome to the forums!

just posting here to tell everyone that this (iTuneMyWalkman) works with the m8 as well just create a seperate playlist called iTMW Meizu M8 and it will automatically sync with that every time you plug in
