    Please help with problems

Ok, this has been just weird. Ive had my player for a little over 4 months and it has been good to me. So get this. This afternoon, I pick it up and turn it on, and I get a message inf ront of a purple screen stating "formatting, please wait" or something of the sorts. So I do. Next, I get a bright lime green screen with a message stating "No Resource! Please upgrade Resource" or something simular. It was out of the blue, for no reason. I used the player yesterday and it worked fine. I plug it into the computer and see that all of my music and files are gone. This isnt the bad part. I dowload the latest firmware and even DFU tools. I have done the whole thing where you pres the M and Power button and whatnot and downloaded the file using DFU into the player. Nothing happened. It stopped at "Enumerating". SO, I accidentally let go of the buttons on my third attempt and the program freezes. Now my player wont turn on, no power, no nothing. It is not detected on my computer and I dont know what to do. I dont have the cash right now to buy a new one and I want to get this one fixed. Any ideas? PLEASE help.

Alright, with some reading, I think I know what happened. I still need some help though. I think when I turned it on, I pressed the power button and << at the same time, thus formatting the drive and such. It then asked me for an updated resource. I went to download the newest version and put it in the "system" folder, which of course does not work. When that didnt work, I downloaded DFU tools. I got it to get to the "Enumbering" part, and it would stop. On the third try, my finger slipped off of the power button, freezing the transfer of firmware. Now the player will not turn on nor click AT ALL. The closest thing I could do was to hold the enter button for 10 seconds, then when I press power, the screen flashes once, very quickly, then back to nothing. Im so frustrated right now. Is this thing really unrecoverable? I got this from an ebay seller in china 4 months ago, so I dont know what to do for a warranty.

Actually, your unit is broken by user error and I don't think warranty covers this, not that eBay sellers provide warranty anyway. However, there is a very high possibility of it getting fixed through DFU tools.

Yeah, Im not exactly sure what to do in this situation. I know this is dumb to ask as you most likely would have already told me, but would you have any ideas on how to use DFU tools to fix this in particular? My computer dosnt recognise the unit at all, almost as if power dosnt run through the unit anymore. So Im not sure how DFU will pick it up. If you have any ideas, please tell me. Ive already seen a few threads saying if you release the button, it is dead, and I dont want to give up hope.

To be honest: I have never used DFU tools before, as I've never had any problems like this. But there's a lot of info on DFU in the forums.

Oh thank you so much lol! Just you saying to use DFU again JUST got it to work! Thank you so much. Basically, your unit is NOT dead if you accidentally release the buttons before hand. What I did was held down the enter button for 15 seconds, and then held the power and M button (whick only made the screen flash then turn off) and plug it in. DFU found the unit and I was able to put the firmware back in!
