Okay, I can't seem to get a straight answer on this.
For those who have SUCCESSFULLY used DFU tools, how do you know you are successful? What does DFU tools do to show success? Does Enumerating (and the CLose button being active) mean it was successful? Does a pop-up box appear saying, "Download Successful"?

enumerating basically means the DFU tools are still busy

its been a while since i used the DFU tools but i have used it numerous times. However, when done the tools give you a message in the button i believe which is something like done, close, ready, uploaded or whatever...
anyway... don't stop at enumerating and don't forget to keep the play-pause button pressed throughout the whole process!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSo, by Close, do you mean that a button becomes active and lets you click, Close?
I let it go for a good ten minutes and nothing changed. I saw Enumerating at Status, and the Close button stayed active.

yes the times i used the DFU tools they gut stuck a lot
what i usually do is just cancel and retry until it works
for some reason starting my computer helps too...
you can also try a vista machine as they don't seem need the DFU tools and the computer will recognize the player as DFU tool automatically and you will be able to access it

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSolution found.
If you are trying to recover a "Loading......" screen. Using DFU tools with a new firmware will not work. I believe it has something to do with the .dfu image that bundled with the DFU tool.
If you want to recover your M6 using DFU Tools you need to get an older FIRMWARE... i used S 1.009... Unfortunately i had to reformat, but i rather reformat then send it back to China..
You can locate the old firmware here:
Old Firmwares
When you use this firmware. Enumerating doesn't show up on the status.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAnother thing i would like to add. ...
There is no reason to wait more then 10 minutes on using DFU Tools.
Turn up the sound and listen to the USB connect sound (while you hold the key combination) when its done you will here the USB disconnect sound.. So holding the meizu buttons longer then this is pointless.
As soon as then "USB Disconnect" sound shoots off it is no longer comminicating with the device. If Enumerating is still in the status field it more then likely failed.

from this thread:
DFU Tools
Strange thing: Inside my SP player samsung flash, but DFU-tools contains SST profile (SST39VF800.dfu)
