a couple issues with new firmware

    Hey,

so, i updated to the lastest firmware. and now whenever i turn on the player or unplug it from USB, it updates the music library. Its not that bad but its sort of annoying

Also, can you guys link to whatever video converter you have found to work? I have tried a couple. One made gigantic files that were gigabytes big. and the other made files that when i tried to play them the player froze. i had to reset the player by holding down the arrow and power.

    1) Updating of music library is automatical and cannot be disabled. We can hope only that enable/disable of this function will be implemented in new firmware release.

    2) You can try Video Converter, or Loli Video Converter or mencoder. I use mencoder and it works fine for me (anyway, Video Converter and Loli Video Conerter are based on mencoder and they're adding GUI only)

Updating the music library is not normal on startup. I experienced the same some weeks ago and yes, it is annoying ;-)
But how did I solve the problem? hm ..

I think I reinstalled the firmware and put some different music on. I hope it helps.

now i use linux and mencoder... it's perfect!
With windows xp i used mediaconverter with good results but mencoder under linux is much better, more fast and never give me video that froze the player (with mediconverter sometimes it happened)
