Menu help

I just bought my M6 a day or two ago and I am still learning to use it. But I noticed that all my music that I upload onto it ends up in the browser portion of the menu. How do I get my music to the music portion. Also, I use iTunes and for some reason only the name of the song comes up. It keeps saying the artist and album are unknown when I know that all the information is there when its on the iTunes. How do I fix these?

You have to make sure the ID3 tags are present with each file. I'm not familiar with iTunes, but WMP does the tags automatically, and so does most music conversion programs. You can also do it manually by right-clicking the music file and going to properties to change the names of artist/album name/track name/track number etc.

What firmware are you on?
the newer firmware should update your music library automatically
if your eon older firmware go to the music menu and press "update music library"the player will scan and index the new songs into the music menu

If your song names/tags show correctly in itunes but not on the player the player might not be able to read your tags or you didn't correctly save your tags

Itunes imo is a terrible program(with only average performance and a bad mp3 encoder), however, it IS handy for easily tagging files. You can adjust a tag in itunes by simply selecting a song in the playlist and manually or automatically changing it(right mouse button)
What kind of tags to use depends on weather its mp3, ogg, flac etc.

also, if your on new firmware and your songs don't show up in the music menu could it be that you uploaded files the player cant play? Like Apples AAC?
In that case they will show up as files in the browser but wont be recognized as a song my the music library...
