I just got my M6 in the mail and have been loading it up with songs... The only problem I have had with it is getting all my albums to display their album art.
I was having a tricky situation because it would work for some albums but not for others.
Then I found the solution:
Please note: this solution assumes that your ID3 tags are able to be read by the M6 (I read a thread about someone with an M3 that had trouble with his reading the ID3 tags, so this may be a non-issue).
step 1)
Put your music album in the MUSIC file. (I like separating it further into Artist/Album/)
step2)
Add your Album Art to the same folder you added
the album. Naming it the same as the name of the Album as it appears in the ID3 tag of your music plus a ".jpg" at the end (This method has been proven by many posters; though I believe that there is a minimum firmware that this works with)
step3)
Check and make sure that the file that the Album is under does not EXACTLY match the name of the jpeg that you just added. If it does the image will not display. I recommend adding the year the album was issued or removing a letter or space to make the name just a little different.
I hopes this helps someone... I didn't see it anywhere in my searches of the forum. Though I could not search that far with the one search every 60 seconds policy that is in place.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAlso make sure your album-art names and ID3 tags do not contain invalid characters like : or / and \
I place mine in 1 subfolder under MUSIC. Like:
MINIPLAYER:\MUSIC\LINKIN PARK - MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT\<all music and album art>Last edited by iversonjack; 06-08-2007 at 06:40 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsShould be nothing wrong... looks right
Just try this first, and see if it works:
Place music in x:\MUSIC\Depeche Mode - Violator
Album Art in x:\MUSIC\Depeche Mode - Violator\Violator.jpg
ID3 of album named Violator
And also try to make the filesize of the album art smaller, around 100x100 if you can to speed up the display.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks, iversonjack, I know this works, but I was wondering if there is another way, like the guy in the first post mentioned - he likes storing it as \MUSIC\Artist\Album and so do I, and he says he has album art working for him. So I am curious how... 'cause I don't like to have ten folders named \MUSIC\Depeche Mode - album, if you understand me...
But I really appreciate your help, thanks:-)
P.S.: I hope, Meizu will make better Album Art support (deeper folder structure or using ID3 tags) in the next firmware release.

I just copy name of album from foobar and paste when renaming "album_art".jpg, I never had problems with it. Twice, I must to rename ".jpeg" to ".jpg", that's all x)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't understand the problem people are having with album art. Put the USB mode to MTB and sync it with Windows Media Player. Hey presto ! All the album art you could want.
