Repair Information

Hello,

Can someone help me by providing me with information on how or where i can get my meizu m6 4gb repaired. The LCD screen has a crack in it, but the player still works. The screen is all white, except for a black dot, with the crack through it.

I either need a new LCD screen, or information on a place that can repair it.

Thanks.

Regards,
~mafi0z

you may find it cheaper to buy a new one, as the prices keep getting lower.
Also this is usually classifed as BER - Beyond Economical Repair,

Just pretend its a 4GB ipod Shuffle.

The thing is, i bought it on ebay a while ago from a seller named tradeeasy1201. Dont think they offer warranty..

FirePower, lol @ ipod shuffle comment.
An LCD realy costs as much as the whole thing?! Thats no good.

Thanks for your replies.

I recommend, that is if your handy like that, to:

1. Open your player (there are several discussions on and off this site)
2. carefully look at the LCD screen (try to spot model numbers or any markings)
3. google the found markings and purchase that way..

This should result in brand new player... sorta...

Please, i'm interested in this thread.. Keep it posted with any progression you may have.. from links to model numbers to pictures of you opening the device.... and replacing the screen. This would make a great how to.

Or, you can ask at our service center (if you have SP) at www.emgeton.com/service.htm
Maybe my colleagues will help you.

Betacart, thanks for the info on the site..
The problem is that i do not live in Europe, im from the US, so how can i get it to the service center?

shookie, I have opened the player just to look around before making this thread. ( Opened it without a how-to )

I will open it again and try reading the labels, and i will also take some photos.

Betacart, do you think i can ship my broken meizu m6 to the service center from USA? If so, how much is the LCD repair, and can you estimate the shipping?

Will be opening it today to read labels on LCD and take photos...

shookie, here are the photos of me opening the meizu m6 4GB...click to enlarge

i could not find any marking on the LCD screen, only some number on the wire attached to the LCD.

Betacart, how much would an LCD repair cost at the service center?

Looking at some of the data on the Samsung website it would seem the only display the Meizu could sport would be the LMS241GF0, a 2.41" display 240 x RGB x 320 TMR 262K 18bit CPU 290 I'm attempting to contact the US repair center for samsung displays to see if they can help

Got a response back from Meizu - they will accept a return to their factory but i'm waiting on what they'll charge for a new screen.
