My M6 says "low battery, shutting down" without reason

Hi all,

My M6 (approx. 4 months old) keeps saying the battery is flat. it doesn't matter if I just charged it or left it playing for a while. It just says "low battery, shutting down" but when I restart it, it plays just fine for a while (between 5 mins and 2 hours, usually) and then shuts down again. What could be causing this problem?

Perhaps... for me, it started after I installed the new firmware. But now I'm running different firmware and the problem is still there so it migh well be a hardware problem. Suggestions anyone?

how do you usually charge your miniplayer?
i mean do you 'refresh' your battery (full charge and full use of the battery) sometimes?

but if he switch off after for example 1-2 hour of listenig and wont turn on so i think that battery is null. i charge mine all night and after that i turn him on and he turn off , after i dont know 10minutes he turn on and work for some time but then when i switch it off there was the same situation.

when it all started he just started to hang, no response on buttons, when plug to pc the same situation non usb connection screen.

It surely sounds like a problem with the battery or battery connection. I suggest you send it back to the seller to get a replacement (considering you are under warranty), or if you are a electrical genious, you could open up the playet to examine closely what is wrong with it (not advised).

hahaha I study MEchanical Engineering so I could give it a try :P I'd like to actually but it voids my warranty for ever. So I guess I'll have to send it back.

There can't be anythhing wrong with the battery connection by the way can there? Because in case of a faulty connection or something the player would simply black out, not give the 'low battery' message first It's not like it doesn't work or anything but my Meizu just seems convinced its battery is flat!

I took a closer look at this thread. It contains the following advices:

Code:
How do I prepare a battery with charge indication?
Fully charge and discharge battery once every 30 charges or so. Repeat
when readings get inaccurate.
(...)
However, a full discharge/charge will reset the digital circuit of a 'smart'
battery to improve the state-of-charge estimation (make battery indicator
more accurate).
Could this be the cause of my problem? What do you guys think?

I went back to the store today and they said it might well be a hardware problem. I received a new player. :D For all Dutch people here: I bought it at CoolBlue. I can recommend this store to everyone, these people are very friendly and know something about the stuff they sell!

So the end of this story is: I haven't got a clue what was wrong with my player but I've got a new one.
