M6 SP Dead :(

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone could help me? My M6 is less than a month old and I didn't use it for about a week. When I tried to power on the my M6 again, it failed. Even hard reset etc. didnt work so I tried using DFU tools.

After using DFU Tools, I have the same problem as Steffko from a closed thread that I read : MiniPlayer M6 Dead?

Even after using DFU Tools and downloading the firmware into my M6, all it does is flash for awhile when the Power on button is pressed. It doesn't power on at all. Has anyone else encountered the same problem as me? I've already tried using firmware 1.009, 1.010 and even 2.003.2 ... Please help! TIA!

I can't believe my M6 is dead after only a short while.

does it flash white or green and for how long , milisecconds or minunites...

It doesn't flash long enough for me to notice the colour, but it's probably green... The screen just flashes for a split second each time I press the Power On button.

Seems like no one has encountered the same problem as me before
If this info is of help to anyone who is able to solve my problem, I also noticed today that the screen flashes whenever I plug in the USB cable into the player...

if the player flashes a bit when you connect it it could maybe be fixed

if you havent used your player for a while first try to connect it to the PC through USB for a few hours. You might just see that after that it powers itself on again out of the blue(happened to me once)

if not, try the DFU tools a few times more
they often take a lot of attemps to work

perhaps battery is dead? try job's suggestion to charge the player a bit and then see if you can reset it. good luck!

I'm not sure about this man cause you mentioned the player is flashed with many firmwares... these thing may cause the basic system firmware files messed up the player . DFU tools is also do the samething. I did once with my samsung mp3 player and it almost die because of flashing the wrong firmware.

The thing is , i need to know how the DFU works to flash the right firmware into the player. Other wise ask your seller to replace you another one.

Hey, I have a similar problem! I tried waiting for days to see if it worked and when I tried it again, it had totally reset itself. Now it's not turning on at all. My m6 sp doesn't even get recognized by the computer! Tell me when you get it fixed!

I have the same problem with my meizu m6 sp 4gb. Just flash but does not work. When usb pluged does not recognise. In dfu server just says:failed to open file m6.ebn! In the mirror image 1 appear SST39VF800.dfu, in the mirror image 2 is not possible to type nothing. If with you was all ok please teach me fix the mine. From Brazil. Thanks a lot.

You need to put the firmware M6.EBN file in the directory where you have installed the DFU tools. If you don't do that, you get the messages that it failed to open the file.

Thanks for help Parena! I did what you say, now dfu shows m6.ebn but just close option is available(please see image attached), the meizu m6 is in usb but still does not recognize. What can I do now? Thanks.
