    Volume balance?

    Hey,

Just got my 4gb M6 (Dane Elec) today and after playing around with it for a while, I can nowhere find a volume balance function. No mention either in the manual or anywhere on this board. How can this be?

    Thanks,

    Scott

Volume balance, as in to balance the left and right music output? M6 doesn't have that function yet...

Right, that volume balance. Unless there is some way to do this in Spatializer, then I am dumbfounded. Even MiniDisc has this, as well as almost every stereo component I've ever owned. It's stupid to leave it out. Would have traded away all the crap this player does not need (calendar, stopwatch, games, etc) for just that.

you know, it's not nice to call someone stupid. :D

that aside, i don't think it's because they were being stupid. they probably didn't think about adding this function because they themselves do not use it. they therefore assumed that it's not a function that people will be looking for.

i'm also making assumptions here but it's a possible explanation for the missing volume balance feature. you could always make a post in the wishlist section.

Well some people with hearing disabilitys can't hear as well on both ears, then it's nice to be able to crank up the volume on the bad ear to balance it up.

I was thinking more along the lines of weirdly balanced old stereo and live audio recordings that I would like to listen to without having to re-process first. But you're right: they are eliminating a large potential market of old hippies and stoners who lost their hearing to Led Zep, et al.
