Dear all
I bought the Meizu m6 and found that my player had alot of problems with the touchpad.
It's most of the time out of control.... scrolling up and down without warning. it also does not follow my sliding actions.
I read that the FAQ states the T1 batch, first batch had problems with the touchpad.
I hope Meizu will kindly replace or repair my item for free... as it's their manufacturing fault.
I hope to hear from Meizu soon.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSo you have a T1 model?
Have you updated the firmware? It helped a lot for me.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have exactly the same problem with the 8GB version of the player. The newest firmware was already installed. Resetting, formatting or reinstalling the firmware didn't help at all. Seems like a hardware defect for me.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postshey.... yes... my hardware version is T1
it's driving me crazy. i have already updated to the latest firmware and tried calibrating the touchpad. Somehow, it still does not listen to me..
wat's the difference between the TP and SP touchpad and the T1 touchpad?
Does anyone know what has been done to solve the problem? so that i can do the same modifications?
Thanks

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsTP and SP are just two version with different display (different brands). It shouldn't affect the touchpad I suppose.
Is you touchpad also always scrolling up even without touching it at all ? Sometimes it works for me for a while then it gets out of control again. Even calibrating it doesn't help.

T1 has a buggy touch pad. There is nothing you can do. TP and SP do not have this issue.
I read somewhere it was due to improper insulation from static electricity. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOpened up my M6 and adjusted the connector for the touchpad... seems like it is not connected properly, causing intermittment connection.
it is working fine now... no more jittery or random scrolling.
I do not advise opening up the m6 as it will void the warranty. if u need to repair, pls send in to the service center

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have had the same experince, faulty touch pad is caused by poor or improper connection of flex strip to pcb connector. But mine was caused by me fiddleing with the insides of my miniplayer, these cocnectors are very fragile so dont touch them unless you really have too.

SAME FREAKIN PROBLEM
I think it has something to do with the pressure on the main board, the connector, or these 3 stupid metal things on the main board (which don't seem to do anything except act as an OK switch for the clicking you get when you scroll). I put a piece of paper between the backing and the 3 stupid metal things, and now my miniplayer isn't giving me trouble... Maybe those 3 things are electrically conductive, and so is the miniplayer backing...
I smell a design problem
MEIZU - GET OFF YOUR *** AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! WE'RE PISSED OFF!
P.S. It's not a T1 only problem. I have the 4gb SP version (not dane-elec)I'm out

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSeems like the touchpad is the Achilles' heel of the Meizu M6.

I'd agree... to some degree
I can't decide whether or not this is a connector problem, a touchpad problem, or a motherboard problem...
Resetting the connector did help the situation slightly - the frequency of problems decreased, but there were still random scrolls and clicks (done by the Meizu by itself)
Placing a piece of paper between the Meizu motherboard and the backing is only effective in completely solving the problem if all 3 of the pins are pressed down by the piece of paper - people who have opened their M6s know what this looks like, and there's a link of a picture in this thread if not this forum. If 2 of the 3 connectors are pushed down, the problem persists.
Another conundrum is that the clicking noise that the M6s make (that they are supposed to make during scrolling) is no longer made when any one of the 3 pins I mentioned above are not touching the conductive metal backing.
So is this a problem with the touchpad hardware, the connector, or the motherboard? Either way, it's not good for Meizu or M6 owners!I'm out
