    M6SP died! help pls

As I was listening to m6 sp today, it suddenly turned off and died. I cant turn it on anymore. I have absolutely no idea where to start. I tried a USB cable and plugged it into the computer and theres no response.

I heard theres some DFU tool but I have absolutely no idea how to use it. Theres some tutorial on the meizu website for some E3 model but I dont know for m6.

    Help is much appreciated!

    btw

by the way I tried to follow the FAQ DFU tutorial, but at the step where it says I hold M and power then plug it via USB, some window is supposed to pop up? I installed DFU Tools and copied the two files into the folder but where does the new hardware window pop up? When I plug in the player the computer doesnt recognize it at all!

Did you hold M and power all the way through the process ? It can be tricky but you have to hold them all the time

The drivers may already be installed for the player and that is why you are not seeing the windows driver screen. Start again by holding the power and M button then plug in USB. Keep holding the buttons and lauch the DFU app. Can it see the device?

This has been answered a couple of times before but here are the steps again in short:

    1) download and install DFU tools
    2) download the correct firmware , unzip it, place it in the folder where you installed the DFU tools

    3) press AND HOLD(!!) power and m button (do not let go of these buttons until the process is completely finished)

    4) start your DFU tools(start-program-Meizu-DFU, or your equivalent)

a screen will pop up and will give you 2 options to select files to download to you player

    5) Download the new firmware to the player(remember: keep the power and m button pressed still)

    6) when process is completely done you may let go of the power and M button. your player now has the new firmware on it

    7) unplug and restart player and let it update the firmware

DFU tools can be tricky to use but they do work
    goodluck!

also it can be that your player is really completely drained

its happened to me once. The player was so empty it wouldnt even react to power+m anymore
I let it sit connected to the pc for like an hour and it popped back on after which i could use it normally again

I really tried to press both buttons, I even had my dad come and hold them down while I did the whole process. I've let it charge overnight, still nothing, but maybe it'll work with DFU now. Here's to Hopeing....

yeah I held enter for 20 sec. then I tried holding enter and the >> for another 20 seconds, and after neither of those working I tried the Hard reset (enter and <<) and each time I did any reset, nothing would happen. I don't know how much good the resets can be if I can't get any response out of the player.

    For the Record:
when plugged into the computer: Nothing happens, not a "Connected" screen or a "Charging" Screen.
when attempted to turn on: Nothing happens, not a flash, or clicking sound at all.
when plugged into a wall charger (motorola razor charger): same as when plugged into the computer, nothing.
When attempting a DFU: Nothing is detected by the comp, even after waiting 10 sec with both buttons down, and then plugging it in.

very odd, this would be one of teh first times a player cant be fixed..
if thats the case it should be a hardware error as firmware errors can be fixed with DFU, right?

Did you try to connect the player to a Vista computer? My Vista recognizes the player as a DFU server automatically even if the firmware is screwed up

The Thing with vista didn't seem to work, I didn't have dfu tools installed though, all I did was plug it in and it still didn't detect it.
