Any possible solution for a "bricked" M6SL through a Mac?

    hi all!

i have had my M6SL since 2008... just love it!

but lately, i've run into a freeze issue while shutting down...
now that is actually NOT the issue i am asking HELP for here, sadly to say!

it got only worse after i tried to solve that first freeze issue by re-installing the firmware (a M6SL.ebn and a Resource.bin) into the root directory...
i have a mac, so i've copied those files into what i think was the "correct" root directory right at the first level (along w/ the "system" folder", instead of inside the "system" folder) when opening up the meizu hd at desktop...
now my meizu just keeps freezing at the screen where it says "upgrading software..." every time i tried to press "M" & "play" button to restart again!!!

i've tried to download the "DFU Tools" to use, but realized i have a Mac, not pc... so i can't even install the tools!

i even tried to hold down the M and Power buttons simultaneously while plugging meizu into Mac, just to see if at least my Mac can recognize meizu... no, not happening w/o a DFU Device on my mac...

please HELP!!!... i just hate to lose my meizu like this... can't even use it as an external hd?!?

    MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

What I can say here is, you just describing the right answer for yourself. Mac is to not much use here.
You have find a pc if you need DFU Tools to recover it. Windows XP is recommended.

THANK YOU, The Torminator, for pointing it out...
I will need to find a pc, which might not be an easy task since most of my friends are using Macs...

In the meantime, hopefully anyone else could also offer other solutions or "DFU Tools for Mac"? Highly appreciatedly!!!

    Many thanks again,
    fblue
