I think the official FPS has now been upped to 20 from 18 via the most recent firmware update.

What about the restriction:
Meizu MP3 player can support 50 folders and hold 450 files at most (F&Q #73 on MEIZU's site).
Is it solved with version 1.10, too?

is there really such a restriction? i wasn't aware of this. umm... do you mean that the miniplayer can only hold 450 files TOTAL, or 450 files PER FOLDER? coz my 4GB m6 is holding up to 1000+ files with no problems.

The official specifications are a little confusing.
The restriction with folder/files I found here ->
http://en.meizu.com/faq_x.asp?MZ_ID=73&Type=5

Files/folders limitation?
ice-orange had the answer ->
Miniplayer can support 128 folders and 2000 files!

That's ok even for a 4gig miniplayer

The way I interpret that is those limitations applied to an older chipset than they are currently using (the faq date is January). It doesn't sound like it's a problem now.

What about the system requirements? It says in the manual that only Windows98SE/ME/2000/XP work, but on the actual Meizu site it says that it work on Mac and Linux OS too. What is true, because I got the player, and I don't want to use it unless it really does work with macs, because I don't want to mess my mac up.

MEIZU M6 works will all OSs like a USB harddrive.
You can drag&drop your music from your computer to the player.

as stated above it will work on all OS. SOme OS might require you to install drivers like the old versions of windows.
Windows 2000 SP or up(XP, Vista) dont require installation of drivers

What software comes with the Miniplayer, as I just received my 8gb M6 and besides the driver(which I don't need for XP) it came with a video converting software only. The manual mentions DFU Upgrade tools , but my install disk doesn't have it. I thought it also came with stuff like Jet Audio etc

the thing is, you can download all the software you need right here in the forums. just do a search. =) basically what you'll need are:

1) video conversion software (there are loads here)
2) DFU tools should only be used as a LAST RESORT
3) if you want to make/modify skins you'll need the skin viewer, the resource editor and the skin converter
4) some sort of music management software (but you probably already have this)
5) shuffler, if you're too lazy to create playlists and just want music in your player. (like me!)
6) image resizer, if you want photos in your m6. (you can use either picasa or the faststone photo resizer)

i have no idea what jet audio is, unfortunately

why would jet audio come with a player that doesn't even has any remote links to cowon?

the mind boggles....
