Random Wallcharger?
I have this charger(Ac adapter) sitting here, I dont know with what it came but it fits in the M6 and it seems to work.
It says:
Imput: 100-240V ~ 0.2A 50-60Hz
Output: 5V - 1A LPS
Is this charger suitable for the M6 or is there a chance it might cause damage?

Ik wil namelijk niet mijn speler beschadigen...
for those of you who don't speak Dutch:
well... I know its possible but is it ok to do?
I don't want to run the risk of damaging my player

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMy Motorola charger is being sold as a 'Meizu Charger' at mmport.nl or meizu.nl.
I don't know if this says anything, but I personally don't think it does any damage!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI am looking for a charger aswell.
I just PMed JoB and asked the same question, but as I can see he wants to know it himself
.
btw, I am dutch aswell
, so it would be nice if we can find something that works for us, and is not that expensive. Of course u can buy the meizu charger + an adapter so u can plug it in here. But those adapters aren't really that cheap either I think.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWow so is your wall charger for your phone, a USB head? So it connects to the Meizu? Cool.
Look at the back of the Meizu I think it tells you details about voltage power, and look inside the user manual.
On the back of my TP it says 5V --- 400mA (largest).
I don't really know what that means, but according to my maths, your charger is too strong
(btw I don't know).

cool... thanks for the info guys!
in that case i got myself a wallcharger and i didn't even know it
btw...if any 5V charger with mini usb connection works that means the ones for the Nintendo DS should work too?
They are just like 5 euros while the ones for the Ipod are 20 or 30 euros

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAnother question: The procedure for plugging in M6 to USB port on computer is to turn on the M6 first. If, for example, one is using the standard iPod charger into the wall instead to charge M6, would one also need to switch on or just plug in with unit off?
-

just plug it in and it will charge, no need to turn it on
same goes for connecting it to the computer btw
If the player is turned off and connected to PC through USB it will charge
If its turned on and connected to PC it will be recognized as external drive and you can access your files

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell, I've never liked how M6 (and all DAPs) seem to get excessively hot when charged via the computer's USB port. Whenever I charge any of my iPods using the iPod wall charger I observe no such result. Maybe it's not harmful, but I just don't consider it a good thing. Just ignorance on my part I guess.
Anyway, ready to plug miniplayer into the wall using Apple iPod OEM charger, so here goes...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMost MP3 players will heat up with the charging via usb or wall, because it is the transfer of electricity. However, it is more noticeable in the M6 due to its aluminum backing. Metal conducts heat well, and so the M6 will heat up.
A tip when charging via USB or wall: Don't keep it inside the protective pouch, it will heat up even more! Best to leave it out on its own. (with it lying on the pouch of course :P)Meizu M8 MiniOne
