you have a "stop button" ? I only have a Play/Pause button on my M6SP. When I use it to pause a song and then unpause it, it continues playing without any hassles. If it does not react the same for you, you may want to consider the reset methods as described in the FAQ or maybe even a firmware update. It doesn't seem to be a hardware-related problem.

Thanked 19 Times in 19 PostsThis don't really say me anything in first place. I'm thinking this rather must be related to your files. Maybe you should check your music files so they don't contain error that causing too much unstable playback. I suggest mp3val.
While I'm not sure about this, I today been focused on if I do hear any special when I start playing a song. On my SP's I clearly don't - smooth start without any hassles like BobbyQ, but with my SL I actually do hear a small "distortion" at start of playback. It's only 0.2 of a second, not 1 but yes I would describe it's like I do hear a sort of double playback. When rapidly pressing pause/play it becomes really noticeable.
Is your player SL version?
