    Meizu M6 Problem

Ok. I just got this thing from my mom I think it's a 4gig M6 or whatever. Ok. I hooked it up, tried to download a few songs, it worked for some of them and then it stopped. So I stopped the sync manually and my computer stopped it fine and so I thought it was fine to disconnect it. I did and I waited.. and waited.. and waited for the screen to change but it just stayed on the swirling arrows around the USB symbol saying "connected to computer" or whatever. Ok, well, following advice, I let it die. I waited until the screen went black to do anything. At first when the screen went black the clicky noises were still happening when I touched the pad. But now the screen is black and will not do anything. I figured plugging it in would solve that problem but it did not. I tried turning it on after charging it for a bit and it didn't work. I tried all the forms of restart and they didn't work. I read the other people on this forum's problems that sounded like mine and I downloaded the tool thing, but it didn't work. I don't mean the process, I mean the program. It downloaded as an .rar file and so if it's a program it doesn't open. It opens in a internet page like other failed files. I tried it twice. So for me to try that pain in the ass way that you are all suggesting, that I'm sure really would work, I need a full description of what is supposed to happen when you download those tool things, how to figure that out step by step, and a link to download them that works. Thank you in advance and I'm sorry if this seems rude, I'm just very frustrated as this was supposed to be a present for a friend.

The .rar file has to be unpacked first (with a program like winrar or 7zip).

Most problems with M6 can be solved without DFU, so you should first try the reset options.

Find out which model of M6 you've got, it's written on the back of the player (TP, SP, SL or TS).

    1. The battery must have some power.

    2. Press the ENTER button for about 10-20 seconds to force it to shut down (that's what you should have done when the player did not respond any more), sometimes it's not really off.

    3. Press both ENTER and >>| until you see the yellow 'formatting' screen. It will reset to the factory default settings and your files will be deleted.

I tried both of those things. Neither works. It's not 'on'. So how can I turn it 'off'? And I wasn't being impatient or anything, I did everything for at least a minute.

Ok. Now I plugged it in and the charging screen actually showed up. I let it charge and after it was finished I unplugged it and tried to turn it on. When I hit the power button, it flashed once and then went dead again. Now it is once again unresponsive and I am back to the same problem.
