Anyone tried bribing the Dane-elec distributor for information :D?

I doubt Dane-Elec knows much about the player itself, because all they do is, as you have stated, distrubute Meizu products. You have to bribe the Chinese Sweatshop laborors .

When the project gets to the stage of a aplha / beta release I am willing to test on my M6 if that is useful? Maybe this is a bit premature?

On second thought, it does seem like it's been collecting dust for a while now...

I don't think so. Rockbox is a volunteer project, so whilst this means that there are people to work on it, they won't be working on it all the time. And there will be phases where it look like nothing is happening. The rockbox port to the M3 / M6 is in early stages and it will be a while before they have full playback interface etc like the official firmware. Give it time!

Funny, I was visit this page just few hours ago. Not sure if this is completely dead. We see a little activity every month but nothing what bring much further news on the project.
