Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postswell, i read somwhere that rockbox 3 was released, but i have no idea when we'll be able to use it on our beloved meizu m6...

Progress has been slow the last couple of days.
On the upside, 2 more developers have shown up in our IRC channel who are helping out with the port.
Also, more existing rockbox devs are buying Meizu players these days to help us out. Gevaerts now has an M6SL, two M6SP and an M3 for example.
We still haven't figured out how to write to the screen of the M6SL. We thought we had set up everything correctly, but no luck. Could be just a stupid mistake we overlooked. One of the new devs managed to display something on his M3 screen, but I haven't seen his code yet.
btw, does anyone know where to get an M6T1/TP? There are probably not that many around anymore, but if it's not too different from the rest it would be nice to support it as well.

I do not think so, but if you ask nicely, the Dev team might implement it.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsDear Dev team,
could you implement please *.Mb4 format, so that we could use audiofiles with bookmarks? I think that this is a good idea, even if not the most important one.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Poststhis threat is reagarding to port rockbox to the meizu. the rockbox website is maybe a better place to post feature requests like this.

the devs are doing a great work, and it's definitly not the time to talk about such functionality. i guess most people don't know how much effort it costs to implement all the necassary drivers. the most important thing currently is to get something drawn on the display. and this is not easy, and the only way to get debug information ist to toggle the backlight.
i think we are all glad to get some news about the progress from time to time, so please don't bother them with things like this at this time.
best

We have a working display driver for some of the Meizu M3 in the rockbox source tree. This should make the porting a lot easier for at least some developers (the ones who own that particular revision of the M3).
