    3rd party software dev

Hi all, first post here. I don't even own a M6 yet but I should be getting it in a few weeks

I have a CS degree and I'm a hacker at heart (hacker, not cracker). The first question that springs to mind is - has anyone managed to hack the M6 firmware to run 3rd party apps? I'd love to use my M6 to show scrollable Google Maps images for example (loaded before traveling).

I know the firmware isn't open but if the iPhone has been hacked, why not the M6? I realize the iPhone is more popular so it gets more attention, but why not?

that's because the iphone uses a modified version of osx, sadly i don't think the m6 os supports that kind (or any kind) of addons...

if you are up to it, maybe you could start a rockbox port. i know i would if i knew how.
