Personally, I've always liked Apple's line of products, it's just the way they market them that's my biggest gripe. Apple tends to leaves out features to include them in the next version of their "i" line-up, whether it be 3G, voice recognition, or industry standards that have existed for a while, such as MMS.
I also tend to find some of Apple's products overpriced, especially their lineup of computers. A Mac Pro compared to an Acer Aspire Predator G7710 is as follows:
Standard Mac Pro | Acer Aspire Predator G7710
2500USD > 2100USD
2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon | Intel Core i7-940 Processor
3GB RAM (3x1GB) < 6GB RAM (3x2GB)
640GB HDD < 1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 < NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
18x SuperDrive | Super-Multi drive
5 USB Ports < 11 USB ports
Apple Mighty Mouse > Generic Acer USB optical mouse
Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad | Logitech G11 illuminated keyboard
The Mac Pro lacks a decent videocard, somewhat in hard drive capacity, has half the RAM, and the CPU is debatable. However, the Mac has nicer peripherals. The whole "Macs are for graphics people" thing is somewhat sad, since for a Mac you'll be paying more for less powerful hardware, and performance is important in graphics editing as you'll make many small adjustments to perfect an image.
What Apple has done with its line of products throughout the years is mostly perfecting the aesthetics, making it appeal to a general audience, and it's worked out quite well. I'm not going to argue with Apple fans, Apple does have pretty solid designs for (almost) all of their products. Their lineup of iPods are for the most part more than decent for music, and in the case of the touch, additional multimedia and productivity capabilities, but mostly the former.
Apple has perfected the art of adding enough new features and aesthetic changes to a product to make its newest model desirable, yet some new features can be easily implemented with software, and not hardware changes. Apple definitely acknowledges this, and uses this to their advantage.
Apple Mighty Mouse > Generic Acer USB optical mouse
I hate that big blobby mouse, it's so unergonomic.
Whilst I agree most apple products are well put together and aesthetically pleasing they do always lack features and are hugely overpriced. I can't believe that the iphone is one of the top rated phones on the market and you can't even access it's filesystem to store files. Obviously this comes about from apple wanting to have absolute control (as with all ipods too) over how you put music on the device. This means having to use the awful, awful piece of software which is itunes. And then what's worse (apart from all the smarmy users of apple products who think they have the best gadgets in the world and usually don't know anything about them... and apple's multiple patent thefts) is the way they control the media into saying they're so great.
I read this article the other day: The iphone 3gs is perfect - The Inquirer and was glad to see that there are still some other sane people left.
Mmm it's nice to have a rant every once in a while. Stupid Apple.
The Mighty Mouse is probably better in my terms than a generic branded optical USB mouse, after all, it has insanely low build quality compared to the the Mighty Mouse.
The Mighty Mouse is also touch sensitive, so that's nice. I just hate Apple for overpricing their products, knock a couple hundred off all their products, and then there might be some competition. Their hardware is relatively good, not for the price though... I also hate their OS, it doesn't let you do anything unless if you want to get down and dirty with the Terminal.

Yes, Yes I know, I wrote a Novel...
So, an Apple keynote has such limited vocabulary? Seriously, before I watched this, I thought these were great presentations, but I was wrong. This version of the keynote is adjective only.
Hey JkPwNsTeR, good to see you again :-)
Thx for the video, interesting to see their use of adjectives. I have thought about that before (e.g. truth in advertising), but then again, what are they supposed to say? After all, these presentations are two-hour-commercials...;-) However, sometimes it kind of disturbes me how many people just go crazy whenever they hear Steve Jobs saying something, without critically thinking about it.
