It's called rounding up. It's still the same resolution.

With these specs, I'm guessing ~600USD unlocked.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes, but you are forgetting that at this point the M8 is far from a perfect product - a buggy beta perhaps (I own one, so i should know) any phone that comes from LG, Toshiba, HTC or even Palm will atleast live up to its promises.
Furthermore these will be more likely 'world' phones; not the same with the M8, which is basically a Chinese phone at this point.
This is more a wake up call for all of you who expect Meizu to crap sunshine; it hasn't happened in 2+ years and it most likely won't happen untill well after this phone has already hit the market. So, if you are saving your money for a decent phone i suggest you go and buy it now, because by the time the M8 in the official form hits the international market (if ever) it will be obsolete or overpriced for the skimpy feature set that it offers.

anxiousone, I think you're the only M8 owner here that's seriously dissatisfied with it. I'm sorry

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsNo, i doubt that... yes, i know a lot of people are going to come online and flame me and say how great the phone is and how it can play this file and that with aplomb, how the sound is out of this world etc...
But, you know if all you want from your M8 is a Personal Media Player in which you can plug in a sim and use as a phone, then yes, you will be happy. And, there will be plenty of people who will be in a false state of happiness (or just basic acceptance - especially after such a long wait and so much hype) only to not admit that they were had.
I'm a little bit more pragmatic (and older
), i can step back and say that yes, i spent a lot of money on this phone; and while it wouldn't be my perfect choice of device, it may be acceptable to some people. I'm using it and it gets the job done. Its not an entire waste of money, i expect it to get better with each fw upgrade, but that in itself is chore. And if all else fails i plan to mount it in my car or boat (or something) as a media player with an extra sim thrown in for convenience- i already have gps so even if the M8 had a reciever it would be redundant!

The MP's dont matter as much as the lens when you're talking of picture quality. The Toshiba looks amazing, but the price is going to be high (my likely prediction).
